It's Amazing
People often neglect small and ordinary objects around, entering nature macro photography takes you to a world of wonder, where you will see things you never knew were there everyday. You will see those disgusting bugs become the gorgeous fairies that blow your mind. You will discover the amazing colours, structures, textures, details and patterns in flora and fauna. Other than that, you will discover the various behaviors and interactions between bugs. The ordinary objects around you will amaze you!
It's Challenging
Shooting outdoors is significantly more difficult than shooting indoors where you cannot control the environment. In nature, you cannot forecast the weather, lighting, wind and so on. You cannot predict which species you encounter and, they won't stay still and pose for your shoot. Once you miss a second, the object might gone, there is no time for you to compose and focus. The big reason that I never give up nature macro photography is no matter how many times I went to a certain place, I won't get a similar shot on my subjects. It is interesting and fun.
It's Affordable
First, you no need to pay the models. All the models existing in our nature is free!
Second, affordable equipment. You no need to spend few thousands ringgit on your equipment to start a macro photography. For beginner, there are various ways for poor man to start off. Of course, for serious macro photographer, there will be certain amount of money you need to spend to achieve your desired result. I will explain further in the Gear Talk.
